As Department Head, Greeter Ministry (2015-2021), I made sure people were welcomed during every church event. I also spearheaded the first-ever Breast Cancer Awareness Month event, where we served over 40 women. I was also responsible for keeping morale up and making sure we had greeter coverage for every church event held.

Clermont Code Enforcement Board

I was appointed to the City of Clermont’s Code Enforcement Board where I served for 5 years (2011-2016) and for the last year I served as the Chairwoman before the city disbanded it. In this position, I served the citizens of Clermont making sure they were protected from extreme fines imposed by the city.

HOA Architectural Committee

Member, Home Owners Association (HOA) Architecture Review Committee

I served on my neighborhood’s HOA Architecture Review Committee from 2008-2016. In that role, I helped determine if homeowner requests to change the exterior of their homes were in compliance with the community standards and covenants in our HOA.

Church Women's Board

Women’s Church Board Member

As a board member, I helped with planning our annual women’s conference which included securing speakers, caterers, vendors, advertising, and generating interest in the event. As well as the implementation of our annual tea, thanksgiving food drive, and collection of toys for children in need for Christmas.

As a Committee member of H.E.R.O. (higher education resource organization), I assisted college-bound high school juniors and seniors with college applications, college selections, and preparation for SAT/ACT aptitude tests.

Homeschooling

Co-leader, Community Christian Homeschool Group

In this role (1999-2001), I planned field trips, organized educational seminars, encouraged parents, and also provided quarterly fellowship opportunities for a group of fifteen homeschooling families consisting of over 15 mothers and over 45 children.

Brownie - Girl Scouts of America

Brownie Leaders, Girl Scouts of America

Brownie leader in the Girl Scouts of America (Fort Benning, GA (1992) & Fort Campbell, KY (1994-1995)). As a brownie leader, I was responsible for helping the girls decide what badges to earn, meeting the requirements for it, planning field trips, teaching the Girl Scout law to the brownies, and making sure the fundraising of the Girl Scout cookies went well.

101st Abn Div

Family Readiness Group Leader (FRG), 101st Airborne Division

As the FRG leader (1993-1995), my responsibility was to keep our spouses informed of upcoming deployments; ensuring that all important documents were in order.  I planned and organized special events and outings for the entire family, which helped keep their spirits up while their spouses were deployed or training. For any family member that was in need, I made sure they were properly assisted. When spouses were in the field or deployed I called and or visited the families to make sure they were doing well. I started our battalion’s first-ever food pantry.
